Quotation

We offer complete services related to the design and contract of the assembly of electronic components as well as final assembly of finished products. In order to protect a client’s intellectual property we sign an NDA (Non-disclosure Document) contract.

Information necessary to prepare a quotation  for the design:

  • requirements for the functionality, appearance and safety of the product
  • assumptions for testing and certification of the product

Information necessary to prepare a quotation for the assembly contract

  • technical documentation of the project including gerber files
  • bill of materials (BOM)
  • guidelines for the design and manufacture of specialised injection moulds, casting moulds, tools or blanking dies
  • standards, performance/execution quality, process requirements
  • requirements concerning research and testing (i.e. ICT, functional and environmental)
  • packaging requirements
  • information about an order size, i.e. annual quantity and minimum order quantity
  • order completion deadline
  • conditions of delivery

New products creation process

During new product design phase we conduct product and process risk analysis (FMEA). We can simulate product lifetime. We prepare complete product documentation (including further versions and modification management).
We build product prototypes (for testing or final client presentations purposes) using verified suppliers of 3D printouts, PCB, own workshop (mechanical parts) and final assembly.

New products are optimized for production limitations (Design for Manufacturing) in order to ensure best efficiency of machines and minimize scrap of components or finished products.

We also offer product management services (components replacements, documentation updates, product service, etc.) as soon as the product is in production.

MST has its own product testing laboratory accredited by DEKRA (Supervised Manufacturing Testing according to ISO 17025 using CTF-3 scheme) with scope of electromagnetic ballasts for HID and fluorescent lamps, ignitors and LED modules.
We make performance (electrical and photometric), safety and reliability/lifetime tests. Thanks to cooperation with domestic and foreign laboratories we can assure all test realization required for a given product (including electromagnetic compatibility or other tests).

We assure full product certification process (including ENEC, VDE, UL, CE, CB). We also perform RoHS measurements of components (both at the component selection stage and further regular supply stage).

We offer  new product design services.
Such process usually covers the following steps:

product requirements and initial specification preparation

preparation of product construction documentation (hardware, software, mechanical parts)

components selection

prototypes

verification tests

preparation of production documentation + pilot run

product certification

production release

We have knowledge and experience on:

  • design of electronic circuits
  • software preparation: firmware (embedded software), products
  • software development in the scope of firmware (embedded software), remote product management applications, database integration, user interfaces, websites, etc.
  • mechanical parts designs (metal and plastic housings, brackets and other mechanical parts, profiles, sealings) with CAD 2D and 3D software
  • PCB designs (single PCBs and multiboards for production)
  • components selection from reliable European and Asian suppliers
  • design and production of induction components (coils, transformers) starting from small PCB mounted components to 60kVAR chokes
  • packaging designs (boxes, trays, palletizations for maximum transport utilization etc.)
  • design of tools, press tools and punching dies
  • product testing strategy and production testers preparation

Supplier and component database management

The supplier and component database management in MST is a process which plays a key role in shaping and optimizing the total cost of a product. To be able to offer competitively priced and high quality products, the supply base in MST is continually optimized mostly by the following subprocesses: the supplier selection, negotiations, the release / rejection of new components, the management of the quality of suppliers and components, the cooperation evaluation, making corrective actions and continuous improvement.

The Purchase Department in MST is experienced in the development of the sources of components’ supply, such as the coil wires and cables, steel and metal components, insulation materials and industrial chemicals, plastics, connectors and contacts, which is proved by the direct business contacts with the largest producers of the above groups of components, e.g. DAHRENTRAD, US Steel, Du Pont, Akzo Nobel, DSM, TE Connectivity, WAGO, Electro Terminal.

The database of the suppliers of components for the electronics manufacturing is currently the most dynamic group. In the projects of high volumes of production we work directly with the manufacturers offering competitive prices and the best quality of products. As far as smaller projects are concerned, we cooperate with a network of distributors,( incl. Samsung, Osram, Seoul, Infineon, TDK-EPCOS, STMicroelectronics, Microchip Technology) who guarantee not only flexibility of supplying goods but also technical support. The transition from a small batch production to mass series is always followed by the process of adjusting the supplier database, so that the benefits for the customer, resulting from the economies of scale, can be achieved.

The goal of MST is to suit the model of the supplier and component database management to the client’s individual needs and expectations. Depending on the level, we offer the following models of cooperation:

  1. Commodate – customers supply MST with their own components for production, MST deals with the inspection at the entrance, warehouse management (virtual storage, QR-code identification, FIFO, valuation period, refreshing and utilizing the components, inventory management and material requirements planning).
  2. Customer supplier database management at the operational level – the customer provides MST with the agreed terms and conditions signed by both: the customer and the supplier of components, MST becomes responsible for all dealings with the supplier, in terms of completing orders for components, managing/controlling the quality of components and financing their full acquisition costs.
  3. Becoming responsible for the customer supplier database – MST fully manages the customer supplier database, in terms of the components used in the products for customers, as well as the tools and equipment necessary for their implementation (trade negotiations, the GPA, LA ,QA agreements and contracts).
  4. Integrated management and the development of supplier database – in order to manage the changes in a customer product, MST develops, tests and releases/rejects the components in the customers’ products, draws up and upgrades specification sheets for the components, manages the projects of purchase, such as the release/rejection of new suppliers of components, the optimization of logistics service, the renegotiations of agreement terms and conditions based on the summarized MST and customers’ needs, managing the database of the suppliers of raw materials for the components, etc.

In all these models we guarantee the confidentiality, which is confirmed by the appropriate agreement.

In the MST we manage not only the suppliers of components, but we also offer support if any change in the components occurs. Our suppliers of specialized tools and equipment (such as injection moulds, castings, progressive tools for punching and stamping) are also involved in the process of designing and optimizing the components. The access to the latest technology for prototyping 3D printing and laser cutting) allows the materialization of the product or component in a relatively short period of time. It enables making all the changes and improvements before the final version of the tools, which are necessary to produce the component, is determined. This support means significant savings for our customers, as it guarantees lower costs of the project and a shorter time for the product to be launched on the market.

Our manufactures electronic assemblies under its own brand and also offers contract assembly. Implemented procedures VDA and ISO systems and well-trained personnel guarantee high level of provided services. Supply models

Our EMS/ODM service offers broad scope of logistic services with all kinds of supply models which are supported by high class ERP system.

We deliver our products directly to end-customers, wholesalers or to distribution centers worldwide. We use sea transport (FCL, LCL), road transport (FTL, LTL) and also air freights. For components from far east we use rail way to optimize cost and lead time. Our ERP system supports also consignment stock management.

Supply chain management is based on advanced planning tools supported by ERP system and Lean Management philosophy. We are working based on S&OP process (Sales & Operation Planning). As input to this process we use customer forecasts, rump-up plans (in case of new product implementation) and historical data. Sales plans, production plans, inventory plans and procurement plans there are outcome of S&OP process.

We have installed high bay warehouse managed by KANBAN, ROP, FIFO and QR code systems, Lot and stock aging for electronic components, KIT-ing and BIN-ing tools for LED components. Thanks to implemented tools and systems we have full traceability on material flow starting from purchase order for components, warehouse, production to delivery to customer.

Optimized supply base and supply chain management based on Lean Management philosophy guaranties that MST is very reliable and flexible business partner.
